The Journey Series: Experience

God plays a vital role in the experiences that shape our lives. He tells us that wisdom comes through those experiences. Did you know that your experience can support others in their faith journey? Or that your experiences can provide insight into your unique gifts and passions?

God tells us in Proverbs 24: 3-4: “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established, and through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.” Our understanding and experience in our lives brings endless treasures and fulfilment because it truly shapes the women we are and the face we put forth to our community. Experiences are purposeful. That is how we gain wisdom in the Lord. God does not do things by accident!

Here are two simple action steps to work on your experience with the help of the Lord:

1. Make a quick list of the key experiences you have had in your life. Jot them down in a notebook and keep them in a place where you can see them this week. Think about those experiences and reflect on how they have shaped your life. Give thanks!

2. Write down the verse: Proverbs 24: 3-4: “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established, and through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.” Post this verse by your bed and read it to start every morning.
