Pausing to Ponder: Connection
Rachel Dempsey, Ambassador and Supporter,
The Enlighten Foundation

We are living in a season of human history in which people are more connected than ever before. There are advancements in transportation, digital technology, communications and more. Yet, over the past year and a half, I was feeling more isolated than ever. Embarking on the Journey changed all that.

Setting aside time each week to share experiences and insights with other women helped me reconnect with myself and God. Though we all came from different backgrounds, our group bonded over our common goal: to support each other, and women all over the world. For as the Bible tells us in 1 John 4 11:12, “No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”

My life is enriched by these new connections. The Journey has enabled me to hone my life’s purpose and put my dreams into action. Emboldened and inspired by these women, I am braver, more authentic and resilient in all my relationships.

How has the past year and half changed you and the connections in your life? I’d love to hear from you. Leave a comment below.
